#Northack Summary

Crosser supports event driven innovation in effort to engage the tech community in Sundsvall. Bringing programmers, designers and students  from all over Sweden together for an innovation marathon in Swedens third biggest IT hub - Sundsvall.

After 24 hours of intense programming the 2017 editon of Northack were settled in the innovative facilities of Gronborgs in the center of Sundsvall. 3 teams, consisting of back end and front end developers and designers – competing against each other with the objective to improve something good – to something better!

Each team had an experienced team leader that lead the team and guided the contestants during the night.

The winners – Team RealSprint – with the team leader Bjorn Lidenmark. Builded an application to help  entrepreneurs to separate good ideas from bad – by using the greater mass of people out in the public. Each team were judged by four categories: Backend programming, Frontend programming, Design and Business Case.

The voting were made by the contestants. Were they could put one vote for each category. The teams actually won one category each – but Team realsprint also won the business case category – which gave them the victory of #Northack 2017.

All teams produced applications with necessary functionality and well-thought out design and business case to the final. A very well performed a well executed work effort from the contestants – considering the very short timeframe and technical objective.

The event were supported by a group of local startups and small companies – Genomtankt Kommunikationsbyra, Esatto, Realsprint and Crystal Alarm.
